For many, the prospect of running on trails, never mind racing, is a daunting prospect.

Join JoeJoe Fan, Peter Hopper, Charlotte Cutler and Jeremy Ritcey at the Gone Running store on November 24th at 7.45am to understand the skills needed to transition from road to trail and succeed at the FAST 28/50/100k races scheduled for February 15th to the 17th 2019. We will follow it by joining the regular Gone Runners Saturday Group for an easy 13k run to put the theory to practice. (start and finish at the store)

The FAST series of races, from 28k up to 100k, are the perfect opportunity to get involved in a fast, relatively non technical trail race and experience the thrill of trail racing without the added complication of needing honed technical skills.

Our 4 speakers will outline some of the differences to Road Racing and pass on some tips to help you build confidence. How to handle the fear of tripping and slipping, the secrets of uphill and downhill running, shoe and gear choice, poles or no poles, training adaptions compared to road, hydration and nutrition.
