Oxsitis Hikes - Nui Po Shan & Yeung Yuen Rock 女婆山
-
Product Description
5.2km, with 380m elevation gain. This route leads from Siu Lek Yuen, Shatin, to Shek Mun with several sections of short but steep climbs.
Nui Po Shan, also named Turret Hill, has a height of 399m above sea level. Although it is not a very tall hill, it is nevertheless famous for its technical climb and proximity to town.
Yeung Yuen Rock (陽元石) is named after it's shape of a male private organ. Visitors tend to linger for taking awesome social media shots at various angles. Paths leading to this part of the trail could be narrow and slippery, strong knees and shoes with great grip are strongly recommended. Cautions should be observed while climbing around for photo-shooting.
Oxsitis also recommends some previous hiking experience for this route and 1.5-2.5hours in walking speeds.
Small to mid-sized Oxsitis backpacks with 2L water bladder fully filled is strongly recommended for the summer seasons as part of this trail is exposed and Hong Kong can be over 30 degrees throughout the year.
