Salomon UltraGlide - Seth James DeMoor

While we haven't had a chance to do our own shoe test yet on the Salomon UltraGlide we have found this great review online by Seth James DeMoor.

This is a new shoe from Salomon and one which could mark something of a transition for Salomon. They are obviously seeing the trend towards softer cushioning and for a while now the previously excellent offering has started to seem a little out of touch.

For Hong Kong trails, Contagrip is a proven winner but for many the hard ride has become increasingly difficult to accept. Balance that of course with the Salomon reputation of being an awesome, precise trail racer that builds enormous confidence when running hard, downhill particularly.

The UltraGlide is one of the first Salomon shoes with a distinctly softer ride. We are hoping none of the renowned precision of the ride has been compromised and we will be out testing this on the specific conditions in Hong Kong very soon.

However for now this is a great review. All we need is a bit of testing on the green slimy steps and concrete and stones of Hong Kong, something of a rarity in Colorado I suspect.
